Have any questions?
Check out some common questions we get asked. If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for then use the contact form below.
What do I need to run the lessons?
All you need to be able to use our lessons in the classroom is a screen with internet access and support for audio. Nowadays, most classrooms have smart boards or TV screens with internet access, and that’s what makes Your Journey of Life such a simple solution.
Students don’t need individual internet access either, as research tasks can be completed in groups or as a class, (if students do have individual internet access, then that’s even better, but it’s not essential).
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, we do! If you subscribe to two or more of our programmes then you automatically qualify for a 10% discount off the purchase price.
If you’re purchasing for multiple schools and colleges, such as a trust of schools, then you’ll qualify for a 10% discount. (3 or more schools/colleges in the trust would need to subscribe )
Discounts are stackable too, so if a trust purchases multiple programmes across multiple schools/colleges then they would be eligible for 10% off the programme prices and an additional 10% discount for 3 or more schools.
How do I add additional teacher accounts?
To add additional teacher accounts to the online platform all you need to do is email a list of school-based email addresses to contact@yourjourneyoflife.co.uk
You can do this at any time of year, and we can usually get the accounts set-up within e few hours.
How often are the lessons updated?
We check the lesson content annually to ensure it’s as up-to-date as possible.
Updates go live at the start of each school year (1st of September).
Do the lessons meet the statutory requirements for relationships and sex education [RSE]?
The Key Stage 4 programme has been mapped against the PSHE Association’s core themes of study for PSHE and meets all statutory requirements for RSE.
At Key Stage 5 there is no statutory requirements for RSE, but we still cover all of the recommended topics outlined in the PSHE Association’s core themes of study for PSHE.
How do you assess student learning in PSHE?
It’s not a requirement for PSHE to be assessed at Key Stage 5, but it is required at Key Stage 4, even though there’s no formal qualification for the subject – It’s for this reason that we’ve incorporated 6 assessments throughout the Key Stage 4 programme.
The assessments follow a consistent style as the lessons, and the worksheets for the assessments can be peer-marked for ease and speed.
